After the event at horseshoe I traveled from Toronto to Calgary to compete at the Canadian open. I ended up finishing 12th in the finals under the lights at c.o.p here’s a couple shots from the top of pipe during finals.

The day after finals I traveled to whistler to spend a couple days riding the park and a day on the sledding in pemberton. Here’s a few shots of the last few days up in whistler and pemberton.

I’m currently on a flight to Oslo, Norway. Writing this on my way to compete at the first ever halfpipe ttr world championships. I’ve only been to the Oslo airport before. I’m excited to check out Norway for ten days or so while im there.  Traveling to all these beautiful countries has a lot of amazing privileges. Like, flying with Aircanada (which is part of star alliance) I have the chance to collect points with every flight i go on. With so many aeroplan points you receive a different level of status within aeroplan giving you the chance to upgrade flights like this one from vancouver to london to norway. Been riding Whistler hit run… Hangin in Squamish waiting for snow… Cookin up delicious dishes… Fall cleanin… Tryin to find a good used sled… Thats about it…

So for the last month ive been really busy. It started with finishing up rehabing my ankle. Then playing alot of hockey for the first time in a decade. Went on my first trip with ripzone to memphis for the catalog shoot. Had a blast all those guys sure know how to get done in all aspects (luaghs).

Got back to whistler the day before my birthday Nov 26, where my gf threw me a suprise party. It was really unexpected so i was hyped.  The day after i flew to costa rica with the 8mile boys for that sbc crew challenge we won in october. Now im sitting on our patio enjoying the veiw of my life surfing 3 times a day getting waaaay to stoked to be home on dec 11th and get filming for kingSnows new movie project. So yeah life couldnt be better and thats my update this month.

Well, I had lots of fun in Memphis. Listening to good music with good people and eating the best BBQ I’ve ever had. That basically sums up the Ripzone catalogue shoot. The new gear looks amazing! After getting home from  that fantastic trip I came here to cold Colorado for a couple contests. The first one being the US Grand Prix is in a couple days and competing at the Dew Tour next week. The pipe down here is in great shape. Man has it been cold since we’ve been here. Today during practice it was about minus 25 or colder. Fricking COLD! But good news coming up for the next few days, the weather man or women… says it’s going to warm up and be sunny for the rest of the week. It feels amazing to be back on the board sliding down hill. Looking forward to the whole season of contests and riding pow with the team! Hope everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

We also got the privilege to take Mercedes out for her birthday. We went to sushi with about 14 Canadians and two Americans that we have turned into Canadians the last couple years. This was a card from elena height to Mercedes. I caught the moment.

Day Six! No morning fire alarm!  We’re already off to a better start than yesterday. We headed down to our favourite street, Broadway, in the morning sunshine. We found a great little gateway and shot two fantastic outfits, one Ripzone and one Powder Room and all before 10am.

This meant we had plenty of time to load up the vans and book it to Martin’s Bar-B-Que, just before the lunchtime rush. There were tons of great spots here and we were able to capture five great photos and scarf the most amazing lunch yet. This state has knocked our socks off with their hot sauce, ribs and southern hospitality.

This great morning meant we made it to the last spot of the day, another family-run restaurant just off the highway, Fat Boys. We got to see the inside of a genuine smoke oven, filled to the brim with chicken wings and pork shoulders. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

That’s a wrap for today!

At this point in the trip it all becomes a blur! Days start blending into nights and then blending into days. However, when we woke up this morning we were determined to make it a productive day. That was until the fire alarm went off. As we slowly made our way downstairs we cursed our eleventh-floor rooms, especially when we passed the electrical fire on floor five. Paul and Adrian refused to leave their rooms, eventually deciding to join us only after we waited outside for an hour.

When the firemen cleared our entry, we quickly regrouped and headed down to Broadway to shoot. Luckily, American Thanksgiving provided a ghost-town in which we could easily get our photos. We loaded up the vans and it was off to shoot at a cool local restaurant. The shots looked great and everyone decided it was time for lunch. Unfortunately the only place open was Jack-in-the-Box… a far cry from the great barbeque we had in Memphis!

Hog Heaven provided the next backdrop for our outfits and we got some great shots. After that we took a couple hours to regroup, and did one last shot at night on Broadway, under the neon lights. This shoot is pushing us to our limits, but we’re having a great time.

Adrian treated us to American Thanksgiving at Maggiano’s. The never-ending, six-course meal was dirt-cheap and left us bursting.. with just enough energy to type this blog entry.

Off to bed, and off to digest. Tomorrow is going to be the most intense day yet!
